Traditional Sicilian restaurant opened by Giorgio Veninata
The restaurant, which is now run by Veninata’s daughter Arianna, is placed in an eighteenth century building in Ragusa Ibla, not far from Pola Square. Simple, classic and refined in its appearance, the restaurant also preserves these traditional features in its cooking style.
In 2007 the restaurant was chosen by film director Alberto Sironi as one of his favourite locations for the Italian Tv series: The Ispector Montalbano . It was here that the chief inspector was regularly portrayed as having lunch in order to discuss his cases with his colleagues, as the episode “The snacks thief”shows.
The restaurant has three dining rooms: two indoors and one outdoors.
